And for our second day of the excursion, we were finally given by Mr.Charles our brief of the assignment, an envelop of tags (currency of the story), and also our 1st clue to solve the problem surrounding the 'Salang Kingdom'.
The story goes in such a manner: The ruler of Salang Kingdom , The Queen (Ms.Lisa) died of conspiracy, due to the Queen does not name a rightful heir to the throne, a rise of power struggle happened among the power holders. Amidst this power struggle, there involve a series of mystery surrounding 3 important figures of this kingdom, namely the Sage (Mr.Charles) the righthand man of the Queen, Lord Vicul (Mr.Stephen) the trustworthy general of the kingdom, and Princess Cassiopeia (Ms.Cassy) the princess-in-name assistant of the queen. And under the guidance of the Sage, we his disciples are to investigate the mystery of Salang Kingdom.
Our investigation goes on for the whole night, and during the investigation we were also require to obtain 'proof' from the 3 main figures of the kingdom, and then implement it into the T-shirt we were asked to brought along, each group are expected to come up with a visual of their own and print it into the T-shirt using any method desire. After all that investigation, we were to come up with an answer of our own as to disclosed the mystery of the Salang Kingdom, and during our disclosure of answer, we have to pick a faction to support and implent the given colours of that specific faction into our T-shirts' collor.
(us working to construct our T-shirts)
The Jester Freaks (Zuliana, Rosey, Aina, Li Wei, Sam) has the closest prediction to the actual truth, and so we were announced winner of the excursions. We celebrate the victory with supper of BBQ!!!
All in all, I was able to pick up a few things before we went home, mainly the patiance and will to endure challanges given to us and also communications between group members is very important as it allowed a better and solid base of teamwork with each other. Another lesson i was able to learn is the importance of time management (we skip our dinner to solve the mystery) and pre-planning process. As a soon to be designer, I felt this lesson I learnt would help me to better construct myself as not only a good designer but a better person to walk the long path of life.
